Sandra was born and raise in beautiful Lausitz. In 2011 she decided to study molecular biotechnology in Zittau where she developed her enthusiasm for practical lab work. Without further ado she changed to absolve an apprenticeship as chemical lab assistant at the Helmholtz-Zentrum Dresden-Rossendorf. Sandra was working at the institute of radiopharmaceutical cancer research and institute of rescource ecology where she gained a broad range of practical expertise. Since 2018 she was working at the TU Dresden under supervision of Prof. Metz and since 2020 she joined our group to support us with her gained practical experience. Natural product synthesis, material synthesis and general lab management are Sandras specialities. In her free time she is a video game enthusiast, a great seamstress and takes and edits beautiful photos. Sandra runs on coffee and is THE person to go to if blood sugar is low.
